The Outcome of the Cold War (by the 1950s):
By the 1950s, the Cold War was still going pretty strong. The Korean War (1950-1953) happened during this time, and like the Cold War's final outcome, it was a stalemate. A new leader took over the Soviet Union after Stalin died, and this leader was Nikita Khrushchev. A new president took over the United States also, and he was Dwight Eisenhower. Tensions eased for some time during the 1950s, but soon picked up speed again. The Cold War continues for many more years, until both sides slowly quit trying to outdo the other.
